|Description||Belle Epoque (otherwise known as "Beautiful Era") was a period in French history that dates back to 1871 and ends when World War 1 had begun in 1914. This was a time when the art of Absinthe was on the rise and the use of a perforated spoon to dissolve the sugar cube into the absinthe had become widely known. Early illustrations depict the use of these beautifully perforated spoon designs capturing the movement known to it's period symbolic to peace, art and literature.
